West Ham United are set to make three new contract ‘offers’ to Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Ben Johnson in a bid to tie them down long-term, according to ExWHUEmployee.
The Lowdown: Contract latest
The Irons skipper has already turned down three proposals over the summer, but this shows just how keen GSBK are to persuade him to extend his stay at the London Stadium.
The full-back’s ongoing talks with the club were recently reported to have stalled after discussions with his representatives, and whilst the forward still has three years remaining, his instant impact in the Premier League has been nothing short of remarkable.
The Latest: West Ham preparing new offers
According to ExWHUEmployee (via Claret and Hugh), West Ham are readying fresh deals for all three players later in the year. He said:
“Further offers will be made soon in the hope that they all commit to new and longer-term deals with an increase in wages for all of them.”
It’s stated that the club are set to ‘reopen’ talks with Rice around Christmas in particular, with Mark Noble’s return as sporting director in January having the ability to ‘persuade’ his former teammate to put pen to paper.

The Verdict: Vital few months ahead
The Irons currently being in the relegation zone won’t help anything, but if David Moyes is able to turn around their form, there’s no reason why they wouldn’t want to commit.
Both Rice and Bowen are already part of England’s international squad and are likely to be chosen to go to the World Cup in November, whilst Johnson is part of the U21s setup.
A lot is riding on the next few months for the Hammers, including Moyes’ job and the future of important players such as the trio mentioned, and the transformation could all start with a much-needed victory against Wolves on Saturday.
